What special protective measures are needed when using t8 lamp panel lamp holder in a humid or dusty environment?

When using t8 lamp panel lamp holder in a humid environment, the first protective treatment is to improve the overall waterproof performance. Choosing products with IP65 and above protection levels is the basis. The shell joints of such lamp holders will be sealed with rubber sealing rings, which can effectively prevent water vapor from intruding. During installation, waterproof silicone needs to be applied to the connection between the lamp holder and the lamp panel. After the silicone is cured, an elastic sealing layer is formed to further fill the possible tiny gaps. For exposed terminals, a waterproof junction box must be used for packaging, and the box is filled with insulating waterproof glue to prevent condensation or splashing water droplets from directly contacting the metal contacts to avoid short circuits or leakage risks.

For dusty environments, the dustproof design of t8 lamp panel lamp holder needs to be strengthened. The vents of the lamp holder should be equipped with a fine dustproof net, and the mesh size is recommended to be controlled below 0.5 mm, which can not only ensure the passage of heat dissipation airflow, but also prevent most dust from entering the interior. The installation location of the lamp panel should try to avoid dust-concentrated areas, such as the material storage area or the corner of the passage in the workshop. If it cannot be avoided, a dust cover can be installed above the lamp panel. The cover body adopts an inclined design to reduce dust accumulation. Regular cleaning is also very important. A system can be formulated to use compressed air to blow the dust screen and the surface of the lamp holder every week to prevent dust from long-term adhesion and forming hard lumps, which will affect heat dissipation and sealing.

Circuit insulation protection in humid environments is also critical. The internal wires of the t8 lamp panel lamp holder should be made of heat-resistant insulation materials, such as cross-linked polyethylene materials. Its hydrolysis resistance is better than that of ordinary PVC wires, and it can maintain insulation performance for a long time in high humidity environments. The wire joints need to be connected with crimping terminals and covered with heat shrink tubing. After shrinking, the heat shrink tubing can tightly wrap the joints and isolate water vapor. In addition, a humidity sensor can be installed inside the lamp holder. When the ambient humidity exceeds 85%, the sensor linkage control module automatically reduces the working power of the lamp holder to reduce the risk of leakage caused by reduced insulation performance, and restore the rated power after the humidity returns to normal.

In dusty environments, the mechanical structure protection of the lamp holder needs to be strengthened to prevent dust from entering the mechanical moving parts and affecting the operation. The switch or adjustment knob of the lamp holder should be of closed design, and a dustproof seal should be embedded in the gap between the knob and the shell to prevent the knob from getting stuck after dust enters. For pluggable lamp holders, the plug interface should be equipped with a dust cover and closed in time when not in use. Before plugging in and out the lamp tube, the dust on the pins needs to be cleaned. You can use a dry cloth dipped in a small amount of alcohol to wipe it to ensure good contact. The connecting screws of the lamp panel mounting bracket and the lamp holder need to be coated with anti-loosening glue to prevent dust from entering the thread gap, causing the screws to rust and be difficult to remove.

In a humid and dusty composite environment, the surface treatment of the t8 lamp panel lamp holder needs to be double-strengthened. The lamp holder shell can be electrophoretically coated to form a uniform and dense protective film, which can not only resist water vapor erosion, but also reduce dust adhesion. For metal lamp panels, galvanizing or plastic spraying is required, and the coating thickness is not less than 8 microns. The adhesion of the plastic spraying layer should reach the standard of Grade 2 or above in GB/T 9286 to prevent electrochemical corrosion caused by rust and dust accumulation. Maintain the surface of the lamp holder regularly. Wipe it with a dry cloth once a month in a humid environment and clean it with a soft brush every two weeks in a dusty environment to keep the surface clean.

Anti-corrosion treatment of the circuit system is an important protection link in a humid environment. The metal contacts inside the lamp holder should be gold-plated or nickel-plated with a coating thickness of not less than 3 microns. These inert metal coatings can effectively resist the erosion of water vapor and corrosive gases and maintain good conductivity. For lamp holders installed in highly corrosive environments such as chemical workshops, anti-oxidation grease should also be applied around the contacts. The oil film formed by the grease can isolate water vapor and corrosive media, while reducing wear during plugging and unplugging. In addition, the grounding circuit of the lamp panel needs to be firmly connected, and the grounding resistance should be less than 4 ohms. Once leakage occurs, the current can be quickly conducted to the ground to ensure the safety of personnel.

For long-term use in special environments, active protection combined with regular testing can be adopted. In a humid environment, the insulation resistance of the lamp holder needs to be tested with a megohmmeter every quarter to ensure that its value is not less than 2 megohms. If the resistance is found to drop, the aging insulation parts need to be replaced in time. In a dusty environment, the lamp holder needs to be disassembled every six months to check the internal dust accumulation. Avoid using a wet cloth when cleaning to prevent the dust from agglomerating when it encounters water. A dry soft brush can be used with a vacuum cleaner to clean it. For t8 lamp panel lamp holders in key positions, an online monitoring system can be installed to monitor temperature, humidity and current changes in real time. Once an abnormality occurs, an alarm will be immediately issued to facilitate timely investigation and treatment to avoid equipment failure or safety accidents due to protection failure.
